MacKayla “Mac” Lane left the States and went to Ireland to find out who killed her sister Alina and after learning she inherited some great powers she knows she have to find the killer among the Fae. With her powers she can track down the Unseelie Hallow’s and most important, the Sinsar Dubh, a book of black magic that will turn the world upside down. Everybody wants for Mac to find the book and hand it over to them, but Mac isn’t a fool, she knows that the one who owns the book will be in charge of its fate and she trusts nobody. Even her companions Barrons & V’Lane, gorgeous and powerful, but both have their own agenda and they won’t fill Mac in.

But now hallows eve is fast approaching and hell will break loose in Dublin, and it seems that Mac is the only one with enough power to stop the Fae from breaking down the huge wall between both world. Mac doesn’t know whom she can trust. Will she be able to stop the wall from breaking down or will she fail?

Faefever by Karen Marie Moning is the third novel in the Fever series. What I like about this series is that the storyline continues where the previous novel left off. When you have read the first page of the book, it lures you right into the world you never want to leave.

MacKayla Lane is still determined to punish the murderer of her sister Alina and also to find the Sinsar Dubh book. But after finding the book and saw what it would do to people, she is not sure it will be the right thing to hand it over to her companions Barrons or V’Lane. The book is pure evil and will turn the one it chooses to do evil things. And when Christopher MacKeltar and his uncles Drustan & Dageas ask for her help too, she isn’t sure whom to trust, because it seems everyone is having their own agenda and all want something from her.

Both Barrons and V’lane are determined to get Mac on their side and want to make the other male look foolish, but Mac doesn’t trust neither of them. Even though they both keep looking out for her, they are holding back a lot of information.

I honestly can say I found this series very interesting, especially to see the heat between Barrons & Mac, but also between V’lane & Mac. It’s not quite clear which site Barrons is on and we are no closer to finding out who he really is. I’ll hope we find out more in the next novel, because it is driving me crazy.

The ending of the book is breathtaking, alarming and fabulous, it is begging for the next novel and I cannot wait.

So when Jane feels asleep that night with the tapestry near, she finds herself awakening in ancient Scotland. Jane has no idea how she got there and why. But when she realizes Aedan is there, she knows this is her change to spend her life with the man of her dreams. The only thing she has to do is break the curse. If she cannot win Aedan’s love within 30 days, he will serve the Unseelie King forever.

Into the dreaming by Karen Marie Moning is a very short novel, only 133 pages long, but the short story was fabulous to read.
The two main-characters are just right for each other. Jane finds herself back in time to save the only man she ever loves, even though she never met him in person. When she realizes that she has only 30 days to convince Aedan of her love and break the curse. She is determined to do just that.
Aedan MacKinnon sold his soul to the Unseelie King, not knowing it will break him. He believes to serve the King for 5 human years, but was tricked. The Unseelie King forgot to mention that is was Faery years and that is five centuries. So when he finally serve his time, he would spend 30 days in the human world as promise, but if love cannot convince him in that period he will return to the King and serve him as vengeance. But a small young woman will do anything to prevent that.

I can truly say Karen Marie Moning is one of my favorite authors. She has a way of mixing humor and romance together in a novel and I really enjoy spending an afternoon with this small novel. After reading the Highlander series, this short story is a great addition to your shelves.

She can see the Fae walk among the humans in their true form…evil. But Mac also can sense Faerie objects of power and now she’s tracking down the most important of the Unseelie Hallow’s, the Sinsar Dubh, a book of black magic that will turn the world upside down.

Mac gets help from Jericho Barrons, who seems to be human and a little more. He is a man with a lot of knowledge and Barrons trains and teach Mac with her new powers. Mac is not quite convinced, does Barrons help her to deal with her powers or does he do this for his own good. Although Barrons seems to be on her side, Mac suspects him of a hidden agenda and don’t trust him completely.

But there are others who want Mac on their side. V’lane, one of the Death by Sex Fae wants Mac to help him find the book and give it to his Queen Aoibheal and save the line between humans and Faeries. Mac doesn’t trust V’lane either because every time they see each other her clothes keep disappearing. But she cannot ignore the fact that V’lane is on her side and save her life when she need it the most.
Then there is the order, the other seers who give some little information to Mac and wants to lure her into their sisterhood. Mac is tempted, but she remains sceptic and trust nobody accept herself.
She doesn’t want to end up like her sister.

Bloodfever by Karen Marie Moning is the second novel in the Fever series. The story in this novel continues where the first novel left off and just like the previous novel I was lured right into the Fae world.

MacKayla Lane is healing from a previous battle with the Lord Master, but she is determined to find the murderer of her sister Alina and to find the Sinsar Dubh book.
Mac is thorn between two gorgeous men, who both want her help them find the book. Mac is not sure whom she can trust, but both men keep saving her life, so that should say something.
Jericho Barrons is the owner of the bookstore where Mac is working during the day. He is a real bully, orders Mac around and pushes her very hard to do things.
V’lane, the Death by Sex Fae is the other gorgeous male who helps Mac. Although Mac finds her clothes disappearing whenever he is near, V’lane is there when she needs him.

I really love to read about the struggles Mac have with Barrons and V’lane. They are both determined to get Mac on their side and want to make the other male look foolish. But Mac doesn’t trust neither of them, although they keep looking out for her, but they holding back a lot of information.
But a third party wants Mac’s help, other seers want Mac to join their sisterhood. Of course Mac is tempted but not quite sure about it.

I honestly can say I found this story interesting, especially to see the heat between Barrons & Mac, but also between V’lane & Mac. I’m curious to see which male ends up with Mac, or maybe there will be a third party who win over Mac’s heart.
So I’m looking forward to see what will happen in the next novel.
