Cindy Miles - Highland knight

Amelia Landry is a writer, but after the break-up with her boyfriend, she lost her inspiration and it seems she isn’t able to get it back. But Amelia’s best friend helps her out and gives her ticket to Scotland, where Amelia will be staying at the 14th century Munro Keep, hoping it will give her back the inspiration to finish a book in time.

Strange things happens at the Munro Keep and Amelia is about to find out what exactly. She meets this sexy highlander Ethan Munro, an ancient Celtic warrior, draped in plaid and silver bands circling his biceps and he isn’t alone. It seems Ethan and his men were caught in battle in 1303 when a heavy mist made and cursed them to be invisible forever. Only one hour a day, just before twilight, the men are able to become substance, so they can feel and eat again.

Amelia finds it fascinating and wants to do anything in her power to help Ethan and his men to break the curse, even if this means she loose the man she became to love by sending them back to their own time.

Highland Knight by Cindy Miles is a great novel to read, it’s full of great characters and funny scenes. I definitely found myself smiling a couple of times reading this novel.

Amelia lost her inspiration when her boyfriend dumps her, the only thing she wants to do is sleep and eating. But her best friend forces her to take a vacation, so she can get her mojo back and finish her novel. First Amelia doesn’t want to go, but after some persuasions she leaves to Scotland, not knowing what will be waiting for her there. The moment she arrive at Munro Keep, she knows there is something wrong there and is determined to find out what. So when she meets Ethan Munro and his men and learn their story, she will do anything in her power to help them. Even if this means she will loose them by sending them back in time, to their home.

I have to be honest about this book, it’s definitely a funny read, but I believe it’s not the best book Cindy Miles wrote. I’ve read the previous novels Into thin air & Spirited away and when I compare the books by its style and humor, the other two are definitely better. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t like the book and I’m really looking forward to read the next novel.
