Lily Vale is an assassin who works for Shado, a covert homeland security agency. She was send on a mission to take down evil assassin Jude St. Laurent, who uses to work for the Shado Agency too. Lily is eager to succeed because she believes Jude is responsible of a lot of innocent lives, including her father. But what Lily doesn’t know is that her boss Robert Dietz has kept Jude alive for his own personal game and she is in the middle of it.
Jude St. Laurent was in a car accident which made him completely blind and he has some memory loss every since. He is still suffering from major headaches and depressions, but he put all his energy in his erotic paintings and models. His best friend and chef Liam O’Neill has been helping him to get his life back together, but then his new personal assistant Lily steps into his life. He knows from the moment she steps into his life and caught him in the act with one of his models and doesn’t turn away, that he wants to keep her.
I Spy a Wicked Sin by Jo Davis is the first novel in her Shado Agency Series and I have to say that I’m not really sure what to think of it.
I have to be honest that the romance between Jude and Lily wasn’t something I could believe, yes there was huge sexual attraction and their sex scenes were hot and steamy but the growing love…no I didn’t feel that.
Jude is definitely an alpha and wants everything to go his way and he won’t take no for an answer. Lily is a deadly assassin but the moment she sees Jude and his sexual escapades she turns into this weak woman and doesn’t know what to do anymore….love him or kill him as she’s suppose to do.
Liam O’Neill was the only character in this novel that I truly love and believed he is funny, loyal and one hell of stud. I wouldn’t mind reading more about him and his sexual escapades.
I’m a huge fan of Jo Davis’s Fire Fighters of Station Five Series with strong characters and great storylines. But I really believe that this book was the most weakest of them all, it seems to me that it was more a novel with a lot of sex scenes then a romance. I won’t put her on my “don’t buy” list just yet and I will give her next novel in this series I Spy a Naughty Game a change and hope it will be better.
